(07/23/03)Behind the Light, the first new CD in four years is out and so far the reviews are tremendous. If you are looking for the missing link between Blue Moon and Between Happiness and Heartache, this album will fit the bill. More soon.
(02/09/01)Breathless have been working solidly of late on an as yet unamed new album. They have just finished writing another 10 minute epic of which they are quite proud. Expect some lengthly complex material on the next release for sure.

have just added a club date in London at a venue called:
"Upstairs At The Garage" (they played there last year, but this time it's
not part of the "Club V" experience!) It's on Thursday 6th July.

I was told that this new version of WDTtW will have an additional vocal verse. Looking forward to hearing it.
(06/02/00)Sadly, Breathless have announced a postponement of their spring tour. They deeply regret any inconvenience caused by this postponement and count themselves among the most disappointed. They are committed to returning to the U.S, most likely in the fall of 2000.
(05/02/00)The spring U.S. tour is finally taking shape. I've added 6 tentative concert dates to the tour page (with only the Boston date totally confirmed as yet). In all probability all six cities will be played on these dates, (additional bookings are doubtful) only the venues and other details are, as of yet, unconfirmed. Stay tuned to the web site for more details or subscribe to the discussion list for up to the minute news.
(04/05/00) Two tidbits
of information.
First, the next single from Blue Moon is ready to be released in early May
and will include three songs. A new edit of Walk Down to the Water as the
main "A" cut, slightly remixed and featuring an additional vocal
verse.
Goodnight, no mention of any change here except its demotion to
"B-side"
status and the last cut being a 7 minute edit of Moonstone.
Secondly, Martyn also informs me that the band is well into the next album
with about a third of the songs written so far. They've scheduled a
tentative release date of Jan/Feb 2001. The new album will include, a yet
unnamed, 15 minute "magnum-opus" that he enthusiastically proclaims to
be one
of the bands best efforts. This tune WILL be performed when next the band
plays live as well as an additional new tune.
02/01/00)The web site undergoes a much needed complete overhaul, (hope you like it) bringing us out of the stone age and into the new Millennium (so sorry it took this long). Many more enhancements are in the works.

(10/05/99)Just added another concert date on the tour page at Club V in London on October 30th. Received info that Breathless are planning a return to the US most likely in March of 2000. Additionally, learned that "Goodnight" will be released as the next single (with two new cuts) just after the turn of the Millennium.

(7/27/99)Breathless will be performing live at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City on Saturday September 18th. Blue Moon was officially released in the UK on the July 26th.
(7/10/99)Just received word of an additional concert engagement slated for Tuesday August 3rd at Waterrats Club in Kings Cross, Central London. Hopefully we'll have more soon.
(7/02/99)Added a third lyric page encompassing all of Dominic's prose from Blue Moon.
(6/10/99) Rearranged the news section to present the most recent articles first (don't know why I didn't do this sooner). Made a page for photographs of the band (ok fans, scans are accepted, go crazy) and added four pics that the band recently sent.
(6/10/99)Just received a confirmed street date of June 21st for the UK release of Magic Lamp with the full length CD Blue Moon slated for late July if everything goes well. The first pressing of Blue Moon will be limited (I believe 1000 copies) and will include a bonus instrumental CD entitled Moonstone. No word on U.S. release dates as yet but imports will be available from Satellite Records here in the United States.
(5/16/99)Received the videos for Over and Over and Don't Just Disappear just last week. I'll have edits (and a few other mp3's) up and running when I return from the AFIM convention in Atlanta in a few weeks. I accidentally deleted the entire JPG library for the site (I know, bonehead move) so It may be a while before all the art links are working again. Also, still reworking the site, they'll be more changes soon.
(4/28/99)Added a MP3 edit of the new single Magic Lamp. I am very happy to say that I have in front of me, a promo version of Magic Lamp, the new two song CD single (b/w Blue Moon an ambient, somewhat chilling instrumental). After nearly eight years it seems that our friends have not missed a beat. I'm not yet sure if this will be the track list of the wide release CD. Right now just enjoying the sounds. I will post the art in a few days. Hopefully, I will also have the Blue Moon edit up shortly. Furthermore, the band has promised lots of goodies, including old and new videos, more MP3's, pics, new lyrics, etc..

(3/27/98)With all the excitement generated by the new release it has come to my attention that we may need a fan discussion list so that we may all revel in our joy together. The list is moderated so it may take a day or two before your message is posted.
(3/18/99)Just received a note from Ari, she now is online and guess where her first WWW visit was. It looks like the new CD will be available sometime in late spring. The project is still a go it's just going to be a little while longer. Hey, we've waited this long, whats another month. The good news is the band may be sending me some audio and video clips for everyone to sample. The band seems enthused by all of our efforts (I certainly can't take all the credit, this really has been a FAN site) and there's a chance we soon may be sanctioned as the "official" site (I'm going to have to spiff the place up a bit). Fan extraordinaire Andrew Stuart tells me he heard the working title of the new album is "Blue Moon". As soon as I learn more it will be posted.
(12/21/98) Just received some great news from Martyn Watts himself. It seems the band has some new material ready for release for 1999. First will be a single called "Magic Lamp" available in February. Then a full album/CD for March (as yet untitled) with 10 songs (check the discography section for a listing). Also Tenor Vossa will be re-releasing "A Glass Bead Game" and "Three Times and Waving" on CD and they will even have a few live gigs added some time this spring in selected London theatres. Great news! A long wait but I'm sure it will be worth it.
(03/17/98) The word is that Breathless have now narrowed down the material to ten new songs. They are currently remixing and adding the final touches. The new CD is closer than ever. Hopefully we will have an official title and release date before the end of the summer.
(08/29/97) Kenny sent lots of goodies over. It seems Breathless had recorded enough for a full length album for 1996 but shelved plans for release for some reason. 1997 has brought lots of additional material and there are definite plans for a release this winter. Ari was informed of this site and was enthused to hear of all our efforts. Added a picture of the band, enhanced the discography and added a few more songs to the lyric page.
(07/30/97) Heard from Kenny of Satellite Records (Breathless's US label for Heartburst). He informed me that the band has indeed recorded some of their "best" music during the past few months. No release info is available but I'm sure he will let us know as soon as it is announced. Also heard that the band is thinking of changing their name (there is a U.S. C&W band recording under that name currently). Great News! Breathless Lives! Rearranged the page temporarily to better accommodate and organize the new info that has been arriving. Added an interview with Ari to the band bio section.
(07/28/97) Lots of new info, lyrics, pics, reviews are upcoming thanks to the kind efforts of fan extraordinaire Andrew Stuart. I will make an attempt to organize and publish the wealth of material donated in the coming days (weeks most likely). Also, need to find a reliable retail or mail order source for Breathless material. If anyone knows please relay the info. Added all the lyrics to Happiness to Heartache to the lyric page (thanks again Andrew).
(04/03/97) Still haven't heard from Tenor Vossa. Just added the band A Cruel Memory to the "other" category. Any further info ??? Also, added a biographical link to Curtis Hoveys site. At last, a Breathless bio! Finally, an unconfirmed rumour of a compilation called "Midsummernight Dream". Will let you know shortly once I get all the details. Hopefully a lot of the older stuff thats unavailable on CD. Or better yet, maybe a couple of new tunes???
(12/17/96) I have recently written to Tenor Vossa for more info on the band (lyrics, photos, bios, current status, etc.) and informing them of this site. Hopefully will get a response. As soon as I receive a reply it will be posted. Thanks to all who have e-mailed with kind words and info. We've had over 100 visitors since Oct 96 (Does anyone know of a reliable counter that doesn't keep resetting).
